Thanks Rob...I am a "windows" captive, so I may need a little help to just poke around there and convert to wav files...I sure hope it can be done...I mean, i'm staring at these Flac tracks from this incredible show, just dying to hear what most have said is a significant sound upgrade, and...hell of a tease is all.

btw, it took for-ever to DL that show...is that normal for "seeding" bittorent shows?

I should add that all this will have to wait til I get home later today...i'm at work now & they'd frown on my accessing 10/29/77 at the major priority of my day.

I thought you were talking about that show. I just completed converting the flac to wav with winamp - but I'm keeping the flac files to play on foobar - just converting to be able to play it on iPod. Good thing we got the show when we did - seems as if LL may have gone the way of the arrow.

Bittorrent speeds vary enormously - some download pretty quickly but a few I've tried have either never got started at all or have ground to a halt part way through. You're really reliant on how many are seeding the show at any one time. I will use bittorrent now and then but on the whole I prefer it if I can just do a straight download from a server.

Yes, me too....but I've heard some swear there's a noticeble diff. in quality w/torrents...I was more excited about the fact that it's a Miller upgrade, which have never let me down before.

This supposed difference in quality has to be one of those internet myths doesn't it? If you end up with the exact same digital file how can it possibly make any difference how it got on to your computer, whether it was torrent, download or burned to a disc someone sent you in the mail? Beats me anyway.
